HVAC Operator – Pharmaceutical Facility

About the role

The HVAC Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. The role ensures that temperature, humidity, pressure and air‑quality parameters meet cGMP and cleanroom standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HVAC equipment including AHU, VRV/VRF and ventilation systems.
• Monitor temperature, relative humidity and differential pressure according to SOPs and GMP requirements.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs of HVAC assets.
• Identify faults and carry out basic troubleshooting of HVAC components.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance and production teams for major repairs.
• Maintain HVAC logbooks, checklists and daily operational reports.
• Assist in HVAC validation, qualification and compliance activities.
• Ensure proper functioning of filters, air distribution and exhaust systems.
• Follow safety procedures, SOPs and housekeeping standards in HVAC areas.

Required profile

• Understanding of cGMP, cleanroom classifications and environmental control requirements.
• Ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment and follow documented procedures.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
