HVAC Finance Controller, EMEA Region

About the role

The EMEA HVAC Finance Controller will oversee accounting functions for a large portfolio of ledgers across the EMEA region. Reporting through the Controllership function, the role partners with regional CFOs and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and compliance with US GAAP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for 29 ledgers, reviewing reserves, reconciliations, balance‑sheet, cash‑flow and financial metrics.
• Implement and maintain robust controls for projects such as entity migrations and ERP implementations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (technical accounting, governance, Record‑to‑Report, BU Finance) to harmonise reporting environments.
• Support internal control functions, ensuring adequacy and efficiency of controls across the represented countries.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams for complex transactions including restructurings, M&A, leases and supplier contracts.
• Coach and monitor Record‑to‑Report teams, building a talent pipeline through internal development programs.
• Work closely with FP&A to align plans and forecasts with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Identify financial improvement opportunities, recommend corrective actions and provide training to finance and operating teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting, preferably with experience in multi‑entity, multi‑country environments.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior finance leaders and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Proven experience in leading close processes, control implementation and cross‑functional collaboration.
