HVAC Design Engineer (Guindy, Chennai)

About the role

We are a leading HVAC projects company handling commercial, industrial, hospital and IT park projects. We are looking for an HVAC Design Engineer to join our team in Guindy, Chennai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting & piping drawings (Shop & GFC) using AutoCAD & Revit MEP.
• Perform cooling/heating load calculations with HAP/E20 as per ASHRAE.
• Select equipment such as AHU, FCU, chillers, VRF/VRV, pumps and fans.
• Prepare BOQ, technical submittals and material take‑offs for tenders.
• Coordinate with project and site teams for design clarifications and site issues.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, ISHRAE, ASHRAE and local codes.
• Review vendor drawings and support procurement.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical with HVAC certification (ISHRAE cert a plus).
• Minimum 2 years experience in HVAC design for commercial/hospital/IT park projects with a portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and HAP (Navisworks/Trace 700 a plus).
• Strong knowledge of psychrometrics, duct design, pipe sizing and static pressure calculations.
• Based in Chennai (preferably Guindy, Velachery, Saidapet, Alandur).
