Human Resources & Contract Labour Manager

About the role

The Human Resources & Contract Labour Manager owns the end‑to‑end people agenda for a factory workforce, translating business needs into HR actions from hire‑to‑retire. Working closely with the Factory HR Head, leadership and functional partners, the role ensures operational continuity and workforce stability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning, staffing and onboarding for permanent employees, apprentices, temps/FTCs and contract labour.
• Coordinate documentation, statutory compliance, medical checks, orientation and IT readiness for new hires.
• Drive timely vacancy closure with hiring managers and shared service partners.
• Plan and deploy contract labour in collaboration with Supply Chain and Production Planning, managing daily line allocation and shortage resolution.
• Own contract labour sourcing, selection, legal and medical checks, uniform/PPE provision and mandatory training compliance.
• Maintain statutory documentation, committee requirements and audit readiness for labour codes and contract labour statutes.
• Execute performance cycles, probation confirmations, PIP actions and capability‑building initiatives.
• Manage HRIS data hygiene, position updates and system actions for hiring, transfers and exits.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of HR, HRBP, IR or contract labour management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setting.
• Familiarity with labour codes, contract labour compliance and factory HR operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
