Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Act as a strategic HR partner to the Sales & Marketing function, driving talent management, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, capability development and organisational effectiveness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnering – work with Sales leadership to translate business priorities into people strategies and provide workforce insights.
• Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning – lead manpower budgeting, ensure timely hiring for frontline, regional and leadership sales roles, and monitor recruitment effectiveness.
• Performance & Reward Management – drive goal setting, reviews, appraisals, performance calibration and implement sales incentive and variable pay programs.
• Talent Management & Succession Planning – conduct talent reviews, identify high‑potential employees, build succession pipelines and manage individual development plans.
• Learning & Capability Building – identify capability gaps, facilitate sales and leadership learning interventions and measure training impact.
• Employee Engagement & Retention – design engagement initiatives, analyse attrition trends and implement retention strategies.
• Employee Relations & HR Operations – address grievances, disciplinary matters and ensure consistent policy implementation across regions.
• HR Analytics & MIS – track and analyse HR metrics, present dashboards and support data‑driven decision making.
• Change Management – support transformation, restructuring and sales expansion projects and act as a change champion for new HR systems.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of overall HR experience.
• Minimum 6‑8 years as an HR Business Partner supporting Sales or Marketing functions.
• Background in manufacturing, auto components, FMCG, consumer durables or other sales‑driven organisations preferred.
