HR Operations & Industrial Relations Lead

About the role

The organization is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead all HR operations and industrial relations activities across multiple IPP project sites. The role serves as the primary HR liaison for site leadership, ensuring compliance, workforce stability, and effective talent management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end HR operations including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, attendance, leave, and employee lifecycle management.
• Act as the single HR point of contact for site heads, project directors, and corporate HR, implementing corporate policies and maintaining HR dashboards.
• Manage industrial relations, handling contract and local labour issues, disciplinary actions, grievance redressal, and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure 100% statutory compliance with central and state labour laws (BOCW, Minimum Wages, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Inter‑State Migrant Workmen Act).
• Oversee contract labour onboarding, documentation, wage payments, and ethical labour practices, coordinating with procurement and project teams.
• Support site hiring, performance management, training needs analysis, succession planning, and capability building.
• Partner with project directors, engineering, safety, corporate HR, IR, and legal teams to translate corporate strategies into site‑level execution.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in large‑scale industrial or construction projects.
• Proven expertise in HR operations, industrial relations, statutory compliance, and contract labour management.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise senior site leadership.
