HR Manager – Talent Management

About the role

The Talent Management Centre of Excellence at Tata Communications is looking for an HR Manager to shape and execute the company’s talent strategy. You will partner with business leaders to drive performance, engagement, recognition and succession planning across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead effective performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching conversations, and performance improvement plans.
• Design and implement employee engagement and culture‑building initiatives.
• Drive employee recognition programmes that boost morale and productivity.
• Partner with business units to forecast talent needs, develop succession pipelines and align talent interventions with strategic goals.
• Analyse talent data, produce regular reports and recommend improvements to talent processes.
• Ensure delivery of key HR programmes, manage stakeholder relationships and track budget versus plan.
• Plan annual HR initiatives, prepare budget requirements and monitor spend.

Required profile

• MBA or postgraduate degree in Human Resources.
• 4‑7 years of HR experience, preferably in a large, global organisation.
• Strategic, out‑of‑the‑box thinking with strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Agile mindset and ability to apply system and design thinking to talent lifecycle processes.
• Proven ability to use data for decision‑making and process optimisation.

Required skills

• Broad understanding of HR domains such as performance management, compensation, learning & development and organisation design.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and related processes.
