HR Generalist – 6‑month Contract in Bangalore

About the role

The HR Generalist will manage day‑to‑day HR operations and support employees throughout the entire lifecycle. Working closely with managers, HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence, the role ensures smooth execution of HR processes, compliance and a positive employee experience. This is a 6‑month contract position based in Bangalore.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, transfers, changes in employment and exits, keeping employee records and HR systems accurate.
• Coordinate documentation, approvals and support for employee movements and queries.
• Maintain employee data, prepare HR reports, trackers and dashboards, and ensure consistent HR process execution.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, IT and Facilities on employee‑related matters.
• Support benefits administration, compliance requirements and audit documentation.
• Assist HR projects, identify process improvement opportunities and help implement new policies and systems.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, Indian employment practices and compliance.
• Proactive, organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Workday (or other HRIS) experience.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with HRIS/HR systems.
• General HR tools and platforms.
