HR Business Partner (HRBP)

About the role

Paytm is looking for an HR Business Partner to lead the HR function centrally, partnering with business leaders to support growth objectives and talent needs for a span of 300‑400 product and technology employees.

Key responsibilities

• Drive governance on critical HR metrics such as retention, engagement and cost in a fast‑paced environment.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders across CB, Staffing, HRSS and the business in a matrixed relationship.
• Operate independently to ensure employee satisfaction, develop the team, and lead HR initiatives and best practices.
• Implement change initiatives related to culture, performance, recognition and policies, overseeing HR operations and employee relations.
• Promote alignment and collaboration across the organization, ensuring consistent messaging and processes.
• Manage senior stakeholder relationships to address hyper‑growth challenges and support change processes.
• Handle queries, issues, escalations and participate in knowledge sessions and company events.
• Deploy and monitor the performance management system for all employees.
• Lead HRBP activities for 300‑400 employees, including engagement, retention and central organisational projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in a core HR Business Partner role.
• MBA in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• HR Analytics and HRIS management.
• Understanding of HR compliance and grievance handling.
