Housekeeper/Custodian

About the role

Saint Anselm College is seeking dedicated Housekeepers/Custodians to join its facilities team. This full‑time position involves maintaining cleanliness and order in assigned campus buildings and supporting event set‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Set up and break down spaces for campus events.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, following label instructions.
• Assist with occasional Saturday shifts and overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing 15‑30 lb.
• Capability to read and follow written instructions and safety warnings.
• Commitment to supporting the college’s diversity and inclusion goals.

Required skills

• Commercial/institutional cleaning techniques.
• Vacuum cleaner operation.
• Floor buffer operation.
• Interpretation of chemical safety labels.
