Housekeeper

About the role

The Housekeeper will ensure guest rooms, suites, corridors and public areas are clean, safe and well‑presented in line with Distrikt 9 Hotels & Resorts standards. This full‑time, on‑site position is based at the hotel in Palghat and works closely with the housekeeping and front‑office teams to deliver a positive stay experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas, including changing linens and towels.
• Replenish guest amenities and handle laundry items according to hotel procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate department.
• Organise housekeeping carts and storage areas, maintaining order and efficiency.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols and respond politely to guest requests.

Required profile

• Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry duties, including cleaning, linen handling and basic garment care.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for professional interaction with guests and team members.
• Good organisational skills to manage time, prioritise tasks and maintain orderly storage areas.
• Willingness to participate in training and continuously follow hotel standards, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and lift moderately heavy items during shifts.
• Basic understanding of cleaning products, equipment use and workplace safety practices.
• Reliability, attention to detail and a commitment to providing a clean and comfortable environment for all guests.
