Hotel Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer ensures the safety of guests, staff, and assets at the ibis Thane hotel. Working under the direction of the Director of Security, you will be deployed across various security posts to maintain a secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the duty roster and cover posts such as the security control room, lobby, loading bay, patrolling, back‑of‑house, and VIP parking.
• Monitor and maintain all security systems, taking immediate corrective action when faults arise.
• Assist management, employees, and guests in line with protection and prevention objectives.
• Coordinate with internal departments and government agencies during routine operations and emergencies.
• Conduct regular checks of back‑of‑house areas, monitor unauthorized entry/exit points, and keep accurate log books.
• Report incidents to the manager or crisis management team and maintain inventory of keys, passes, walkie‑talkies, and pagers.
• Ensure the security room and surrounding areas remain clean and orderly.
• Stay familiar with fire and life‑safety procedures, attend briefings, trainings, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Secondary or high‑school education.
• Certificates in CPR, First Aid Management and Basic Fire Fighting are advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant security experience.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• No criminal record and a well‑presented, professional grooming standard.
