Home Room Teacher – Primary Years Programme (PYP)

About the role

The Home Room Teacher for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) will deliver a rigorous, inquiry‑based curriculum that integrates knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes and action. Working closely with the PYP Coordinator and fellow teachers, the role supports a transformative learning experience for students, families and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver PYP curriculum units, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Prepare indoor and outdoor learning environments and resources that foster creativity and engagement.
• Assess student progress continuously, design assignments and tests, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Uphold discipline, child‑safety standards, and supervise students during school activities, field trips and bus duties.
• Provide pastoral support, address individual academic or personal challenges, and communicate regularly with parents.
• Participate in extracurricular clubs, school events and professional development activities.
