Helpdesk Technician – IT (Rotational Evening/Night Shifts)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Helpdesk Technician to provide Tier 1 and partial Tier 2 IT support on a rotational evening/night schedule. You will assist end‑users with hardware, software and network issues while ensuring service level agreements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot software, hardware and networking problems for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Provision, de‑provision and audit access rights to company resources.
• Assist in managing Active Directory information and ensure its accuracy.
• Install, update and configure operating systems, applications and security tools.
• Log and track incidents using a ticketing system, following up to ensure resolution within SLAs.
• Document workflows and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
• Provide phone, chat and email support, including occasional weekend and night coverage.

Required profile

• Fresher with good communication and technical background or up to 1 year experience in IT/Desktop support.
• Team player with a flexible and reliable attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Fundamentals of networking, especially TCP/IP.
• Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel proficiency.
• Active Directory management (preferred).
• Virtual machine deployment and management.
• Wireless technologies and protocols.
• VPN technologies (IPsec and SSL).
