Health Safety Environment Officer

About the role

The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer will support the Plant HSE Lead in driving a culture of safety and ensuring compliance across the Malanpur plant. The role involves coordinating HSE programs, managing fire safety systems, and providing expertise for projects and change initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Plant HSE Lead in driving HSE cultural transformation and sustaining it.
• Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Health, Safety, and Environment programs across plant operations.
• Manage and maintain the plant's Fire Safety Systems.
• Lead the behavioral observation system, including reporting, analysis, and corrective actions on at‑risk behaviors.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of incidents and near‑misses, facilitate closure of actions, and maintain incident data with timely reporting.
• Support site personnel and HSE standard owners in building capabilities and implementing standards effectively.
• Provide HSE expertise for projects and change‑management activities, ensuring safe execution.
• Organise and conduct Safety Committee meetings and maintain minutes.
• Upload HSE‑related data to Enablon and act as backup HSE Pillar Lead when required.
• Interact with government officials in coordination with the Mondeléz liaison representative.

Required profile

• Experience in HSE and fire‑safety operations and challenges.
• Knowledge of relevant HSE and fire safety acts, rules, and technical standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work at all levels.
• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Industrial Safety or any engineering stream, plus a diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Supervisory role experience in industry.
