Head - Plant Quality

About the role

The Head of Plant Quality will lead the quality function for Aumovio’s Gurgaon plant, driving growth from €250 million to €600 million by 2030. The role ensures customer quality targets, APQP/PPAP approvals, launch readiness and stable serial‑production quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year plant quality strategy aligned with the 2030 growth plan.
• Maintain the Quality Management System and automotive certifications (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3) while reporting performance and risks.
• Reduce scrap, rework, warranty and customer‑complaint costs through cost‑of‑poor‑quality initiatives.
• Lead quality planning and industrialization for new products, transfers and technology introductions.
• Ensure robust APQP, design risk analysis, control plans, capability validation and safe‑launch controls for safety‑critical mechatronic products.
• Define and improve quality assurance across incoming material, mechanical, electric‑motor, electronics/PCBA and SMT processes.
• Act as senior quality representative to customers, certification bodies and global locations, handling escalations and audits.
• Coach and develop the quality organization, defining roles, succession plans and competency matrices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive quality experience in automotive or other safety‑critical manufacturing, including at least 8 years in senior quality leadership.
• Proven experience with high‑volume mechatronic products integrating mechanical, electronic and motor technologies.
• Lead‑auditor qualification for IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 preferred; Six Sigma Black Belt desirable.
• Successful track record of product launches, industrialization, capacity expansion and quality turnarounds.
• Experience managing a multidisciplinary quality organization, budgets and cross‑functional crisis teams.

• IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audit expertise.
• Six Sigma Black Belt methodology.
• Electronics/PCBA and SMT process controls, soldering inspection and traceability.

• Quality Management System implementation and continuous improvement.
