Head of Quality Assurance (AVP) – Construction

About the role

Emaar India Limited is seeking a seasoned quality leader to own the Quality Assurance and Quality Control strategy for its pan‑India portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will drive zero‑defect delivery, ensure adherence to design intent and uphold robust quality governance across all construction sites, contractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Quality vision, roadmap and QMS, including SOPs, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and stage‑wise checklists for civil, structural, MEP, façade and finishing works.
• Act as the final escalation authority for design and specification compliance, preventing unauthorized deviations.
• Lead internal, third‑party and independent quality audits, mock‑ups and snag inspections; drive NCR closure and root‑cause analysis.
• Oversee material testing, lab certifications and vendor/factory inspections to ensure all inputs meet approved standards.
• Manage testing & commissioning activities, guaranteeing system performance before handover.
• Coordinate with design, structural and MEP consultants to resolve quality‑related design issues.
• Set contractor and vendor quality benchmarks, pre‑qualification criteria and KPI‑linked performance evaluation.
• Track site‑level quality performance through MIS dashboards and report to senior leadership.
• Build and lead the corporate and project‑level quality function, including hiring, training and succession planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in quality management within large‑scale construction or real‑estate projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
