About the role

The Haunted Attraction Performer brings Frightmares characters to life within Lagoon’s immersive haunted attractions. This seasonal role is designed for teens aged 14‑15 who can deliver high‑energy, spooky performances that thrill guests while maintaining safety.

Key responsibilities

• Portray assigned Frightmares characters using acting techniques, voice modulation, gestures, and movement.
• Engage guests throughout the attraction, maintaining consistent character portrayal for the duration of each shift.
• Collaborate with fellow performers to create synchronized, immersive storytelling.
• Follow all safety protocols, respond to unexpected situations, and keep a professional demeanor.
• Participate in rehearsals, training sessions, and maintain props, costumes, and set pieces.
• Adapt quickly to changes in the environment or direction while staying in character.

Required profile

• Minimum age 14 years, in compliance with applicable child‑labor exemptions.
• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, often extending to midnight.
• Typical shift length of 3‑8 hours, with occasional longer periods based on operational needs.
• Prior acting, theater, or performance experience is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong acting ability, including voice modulation and physical expression.
• Comfort performing in loud, dimly lit, high‑energy environments with special effects.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain guest safety.
