Group Financial Controller (Remote, India)

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will be based in Ahmedabad, India, working remotely as a senior member of the global finance leadership team. The role oversees financial management, reporting and control across a multi‑country healthcare group, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting for entities in the UK, Ireland, USA, India and South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for all group entities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP) and maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and consolidation processes.
• Manage financial operations, statutory, tax and regulatory compliance in each jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with local finance teams, auditors and external advisors, monitoring currency exposure and regulatory risks.
• Lead and develop a remote/offshore finance team, driving standardisation, automation and performance management.
• Lead group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and annual planning cycles, providing variance analysis and strategic insights.
• Manage group audit processes, ensure timely statutory accounts and strengthen internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting tools and ERP optimisation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience as a Group Financial Controller or senior international finance role.
• Proven experience managing multi‑entity, multi‑country financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and cross‑border finance.
• Experience leading offshore or remote finance teams.

Required skills

• Expertise with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.
• Advanced knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and elimination processes.
