Group Finance Controller

About the role

The Group Finance Controller will lead the financial strategy and operations of a leading multispecialty and quaternary care hospital network. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure financial excellence, compliance, and support strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial consolidation, MIS reporting, statutory audits and liaison with bankers and credit rating agencies.
• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxation requirements.
• Manage liquidity, working capital and vendor payments for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment and other vendors.
• Oversee accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations and financial controls.
• Drive process improvements, ERP transitions, automation and real‑time CFO dashboard reporting.
• Partner with COOs, Clinical Directors, Internal Auditors and department heads to support strategic decisions.
• Lead the end‑to‑end revenue cycle, optimise insurance & TPA claims, reduce accounts receivable and minimise claim denials.
• Mentor and develop finance teams across hospital units.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 8+ years of financial management experience, including at least 3 years in a multispecialty hospital or healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare finance, revenue cycle and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with Hospital Information Systems / Medical Billing Software.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or Tally.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
