Grid Manager / Area Sales Manager – Telecom

About the role

The Grid Manager / Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales, revenue and business development across a defined geographic grid within the telecom sector. The role focuses on expanding 3G/4G mobile broadband services, increasing channel penetration and ensuring optimal utilization of network resources.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth from 3G/4G sales, including handset and smartphone shop development.
• Ensure high‑quality gross adds for 3G/4G services and expand channel offerings such as SIM sales, VAS, MNP, MBB and post‑paid plans.
• Coordinate trade marketing activities, brand visibility, BTL promotions and special events within the territory.
• Identify untapped market areas, guide BDOs on sales routes and prepare accurate sales forecasts for SIMs, scratch cards and recharge products.
• Train and supervise retailers and staff, conduct market visits, and maintain stock availability.
• Collaborate with technical teams to optimise network utilisation, OPEX, site availability and LTE/3G/4G accessibility.
• Oversee merchandising, ensuring POS materials are present at outlets.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
