Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operator to monitor physical security functions, detect and assess threats, report incidents and determine impacts on business operations, employees and facilities. The role involves handling situations arising from technical failures, extreme weather, political instability, crime or terrorism using access control, alarm, video and visitor management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely response to incidents, alarms, notifications and calls for service.
• Maintain confidentiality, courtesy and professionalism in all communications and document them appropriately.
• Manage life‑safety, alarm, communications, reporting, video management and access‑control functions at designated locations.
• Investigate and respond to alarms promptly, evaluating information from all sources and dispatching appropriate actions.
• Escalate security issues or emergencies to department leadership, local law enforcement and emergency services such as EMTs and fire departments.
• Participate regularly in security/safety training, drills and tabletop exercises to stay current on SOC responsibilities.
• Write accurate and concise reports for team members and department supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Familiarity with access‑control systems and CCTV monitoring systems.
• Experience with incident‑management platforms.
• Knowledge of security applications such as Lenel and Genetec.
