About the role

3M is seeking a Global Category Procurement Operations Specialist to support its worldwide category procurement teams. The role focuses on executing sourcing and operational procurement activities, managing supplier interactions, and ensuring compliance across end‑to‑end procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support global category procurement teams with sourcing, supplier communication, request handling, and issue resolution.
• Conduct routine and tail‑spend supplier negotiations; lead broader negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions at advanced levels.
• Maintain procurement controls, including bank verification and fraud‑prevention requirements.
• Develop negotiation strategies to achieve cost‑saving and service‑quality goals.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and lead or support assigned projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 + years of procurement or supply‑chain experience.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills
