GL Operator II – Manufacturing Production Role

About the role

The GL Operator II works on production lines operating machinery under limited supervision. The role focuses on maintaining part quality, improving cycle times, and supporting engineers with sample testing while adhering to safety and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines, adjust settings, and perform basic operations to ensure continuous product flow.
• Follow and update standard operating procedures, record data, and use M2M systems to identify and correct errors.
• Assist engineers with sample preparation and equipment tests as directed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and support coworkers in housekeeping tasks.
• Report safety hazards, comply with all safety regulations, and participate in shift work, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months of manufacturing experience.
• Basic math, language, and computer proficiency.
• Good hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to interpret data.
• Physical ability to lift 25‑50 lb, stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand motions.

Required skills

• Operation of M2M (machine‑to‑machine) systems.
• Use of computer‑based documentation software.
• Microscope operation for extended periods.
