General Maintenance Technician

About the role

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all hotel facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently. You will work on both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a wide range of systems in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on air‑conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, fire‑life‑safety (FLS) equipment, low‑voltage systems, plumbing, drainage, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Maintain building elements including furniture, fixtures, painting, and general repairs in guest rooms, F&B outlets, banquet areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Communicate improvement ideas and service disruptions to engineering management and team leaders.
• Apply safe work practices, preventive maintenance procedures and efficient repair methods.
• Attend briefings, meetings and training sessions; comply with all hotel policies, fire and emergency procedures.
• Report for duty on time in a clean uniform and maintain high personal hygiene standards.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Secondary/high school education; Trade Certificate or at least 1 year of relevant hands‑on experience.
• Good reading and oral proficiency in English.
• Ability to work on shift patterns and respond promptly to service requests.
