General Maintenance Technician (Hotel)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join the ibis Nashik hotel team. You will ensure that all building systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently, providing a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of premises, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on air‑conditioning units (split, window, central, chillers), electrical circuits and plumbing fixtures.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing issues promptly.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, minimizing operational disruption.
• Maintain records of work orders, service logs and spare‑part inventory.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA guidelines.
• Assist guests with information about hotel facilities.

Required profile

• Diploma or trade certificate in a relevant field, or at least 1 year of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and basic computer skills for maintenance management systems.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work in varied positions.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency calls.
