GCP Application Support Engineer (Hybrid – Noida)

About the role

We are looking for a GCP Application Support Engineer to join TELUS Digital’s DS Operations team in India. The role combines incident management, deployment operations and observability on Google Cloud Platform, supporting high‑availability customer‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and leading war‑rooms to resolve critical outages while meeting service level objectives.
• Deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes using Helm charts and service‑mesh technologies, including traffic‑switching and blue‑green/canary strategies.
• Implementing end‑to‑end observability with Datadog and Splunk, building dashboards, alerts and correlating API anomalies with infrastructure signals.
• Maintaining hardened GCP base AMIs, rotating credentials, handling security exceptions and ensuring compliance with cyber‑security metrics.
• Participating in shift rotations, providing L2/L3 support and communicating incident status to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes administration.
• Proven track record with ITIL/ITSM processes, on‑call rotations and production troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of GCP security best practices, vulnerability management and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and deployment patterns like blue‑green and canary.
• Solid networking and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.
