GB/G Manager - General Ledger Accounting

About the role

This Financial Reporting leadership position is responsible for delivering high‑quality, compliant, and efficient financial reporting services to business partners in the United States and Canada, as well as to assigned legal entities. The role is part of BASF’s new Global Hub in India, supporting the company’s transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure high‑quality, compliant, and efficient financial reporting service delivery in line with service level agreements.
• Handle ad‑hoc reporting requests and develop customized solutions for US and Canadian business partners.
• Identify partner requirements, maintain regular communication, and foster strong cooperation.
• Lead a disciplinary service team, including resource planning, recruitment, activity allocation, and budget control.
• Promote a positive work environment through recognition, target setting, performance evaluation, development, and feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting leadership.
• Ability to manage service delivery across multiple legal entities and geographies.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with business partners in the US and Canada.
• Experience in team leadership, resource planning, and budget management.
