Gastroenterologist – Kutch District

About the role

The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive diagnosis, management, and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver conditions for patients in the Kutch district. This full‑time, on‑site position involves both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as a range of endoscopic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient consultations and manage inpatient care for GI and hepatology patients.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy.
• Interpret imaging studies and laboratory investigations to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records, participate in clinical discussions, and provide patient education on disease prevention and lifestyle modification.

Required profile

• Strong clinical expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology with ability to manage a broad spectrum of conditions.
• MD/DNB in Medicine and DM/DNB in Gastroenterology (or equivalent) with valid medical registration.
• Proficiency in endoscopic techniques and familiarity with capsule endoscopy.
• Experience in a hospital or tertiary‑care setting; knowledge of rural or semi‑urban healthcare environments is an advantage.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, continuous learning, and participation in clinical audits.
