Full-Time Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs and prepare vacant units for new occupants. The role involves a variety of tasks ranging from electrical and plumbing work to painting and HVAC servicing.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and complete projects involving electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, lock replacement, tile repair, blind/window treatment, and HVAC furnace/air‑conditioning repairs.
• Make vacant apartments ready according to company standards, coordinating vendors, flooring, painting, cleaning, and appliance replacement.
• Maintain building inventory, stay within budget limits, and schedule preventive‑maintenance activities.
• Monitor and support work performed by outside contractors and handle 24‑hour emergency maintenance calls.
• Perform grounds work such as trash collection, curb sweeping, and dumpster area upkeep.
• Assist with annual inspections, backflow testing, elevator, fire‑panel, and fire‑extinguisher testing.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a maintenance technician with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work assigned hours.
• Own necessary hand and power tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
