Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

PropertyFlow is a fast‑moving PropTech startup in Edinburgh building a flat‑fee short‑term rental management platform. As a Full‑Stack Software Engineer you will join the founder‑led team to own and ship core product features from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the PropertyFlow PMS across both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js) components.
• Keep the live website and upcoming mobile app stable, performant and continuously improving.
• Take product ideas through the full development lifecycle – scope, design, code, test and deploy.
• Build and maintain integrations with channel managers, dynamic‑pricing services, payment providers and OTA platforms.
• Develop internal tooling to accelerate operations, using React‑based interfaces.
• Own deployment, monitoring and reliability on Azure‑hosted infrastructure.
• Collaborate directly with the founder to translate business needs into clean, maintainable code while ensuring security and GDPR compliance.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience shipping a mobile app using React Native or Flutter.
• Proficiency designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL database design.
• Comfort with cloud hosting, preferably Azure (AWS/GCP experience acceptable).
• Experience with Git‑based version control and a clean PR workflow.
