Full Stack Engineer - Infrastructure & Deployment Pipelines

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Full Stack Engineer in Pune to drive the evolution of its infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The engineer builds and manages robust, scalable and secure infrastructure so that digital solutions are delivered seamlessly, within the Global Payment Services business area.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software that delivers business, platform and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
• Develop and deliver high-quality software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks and tools, keeping code scalable, maintainable and performance-optimized.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies and align with business objectives.
• Take part in code reviews, share knowledge and stay informed of technology trends.
• Follow secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams within Banking or Financial Services.
• Experience leading development teams, code reviews, mentoring and technical decision-making is highly valued.
• Knowledge of payment systems, corporate banking, lending or transaction banking is highly valued.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate and TDD.
• ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5 and modern front-end frameworks.
• Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• OpenShift/Kubernetes, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven/Gradle and DevSecOps.
• IBM MQ, Kafka or similar event-driven platforms.
• Observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana and Splunk; domain-driven design, event-driven architecture and API-led integrations are highly valued.
