FSTD Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The FSTD Technical Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of flight simulation training devices (FSTD) at Airbus India Training Centre. The role involves 24/7 support, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordination with instructors and customers to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with FSTD technicians to guarantee device reliability in line with Airbus training standards.
• Perform daily simulator operations, preventive maintenance, software updates, and corrective interventions.
• Provide on‑site troubleshooting and resolve hardware or software discrepancies outside regular working hours.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensure compliance with monitoring systems, and support recurrent qualification tests.
• Participate in safety initiatives by reporting potential safety or environmental issues.

Required profile

• Higher education in Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering (or AME course).
• 1–3 years of recent experience in FSTD maintenance and support, including familiarity with authority certification audits.
• Ability to work on a 24/7 shift roster and handle customer‑oriented situations.
