Front‑of‑House Cafe Staff (Captain)

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, customer‑focused Front‑of‑House (FOH) staff member to join MIYO Dessert Bar in Mumbai. As a key point of contact for guests, you will help them navigate our build‑your‑own dessert concept while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, explain the dessert‑bar concept, and guide them through menu choices.
• Answer questions about ingredients, specials, and dietary options.
• Process orders, handle billing, payments, and operate the POS system accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and service stations.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and food‑handling standards at all times.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely service.
• Restock supplies, assist with opening and closing duties.
• Address customer concerns politely and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, customer‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
