Frontend Software Engineer – Web Applications

About the role

YouTrip, a leading multi‑currency digital wallet in the Asia‑Pacific region, is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer (Web) to join its Chennai office. In this role you will design and build highly scalable web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable web applications using modern front‑end technologies such as React and Redux.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with back‑end developers to integrate front‑end components with server‑side APIs.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability using techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, and caching.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and share knowledge with the team.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate project updates, status reports, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Monitor and improve performance, usability, and security of web applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience building web applications with React and Redux.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with performance‑optimization techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and caching.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
