Frontend Engineer (SDE I) – Build User‑Facing Web Interfaces

About the role

We are looking for a UI Engineer – Level 1 to join Navi’s fast‑moving fintech team. The role is ideal for early‑career developers who enjoy turning product ideas into clean, high‑performance web interfaces that serve millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product and technical problems and design efficient, performance‑focused solutions.
• Build user‑facing web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and preferably React.
• Translate product requirements into clean, functional, maintainable UI code.
• Debug frontend issues, reason through code behavior step‑by‑step, and apply basic security best practices.
• Write unit tests (and higher‑level tests under senior guidance) covering happy paths, edge cases and error handling.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and product teams to ship reliable frontend experiences.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of frontend engineering experience (including internships, academic projects or personal work).
• Strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals such as closures, scope, event loop, async behavior, prototypes and “this”.
• Curious mindset, solid problem‑solving approach and eagerness to learn from peers.
