Front End Developer – Angular & Microfrontend Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a senior Front End Developer to join BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality web features, modernising legacy code and applying AI‑assisted engineering to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of front‑end product features from discovery through production support.
• Utilise AI‑assisted tools (e.g., copilots, LLMs) to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Modernise legacy components, manage technical debt and drive refactoring, migration and deprecation initiatives.
• Mentor and coach engineers through pair programming, design reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions; participate in hiring and onboarding.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation while ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior front‑end developer in a large, distributed team.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility and user‑centered design.
• Experience building cloud‑native applications and awareness of data privacy and responsible AI use.

Required skills

• Advanced Angular and TypeScript.
• Microfrontend architecture and module‑federation based monorepo setups.
• Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards) and CI/CD automation for Angular projects.
• Cloud‑native development (e.g., containers, Kubernetes).
• AI‑assisted development tools and responsible AI integration.
