Fresher – Statutory Audit (Mumbai)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented recent graduate to join our Statutory Audit team in Mumbai. The role offers hands‑on experience with audit procedures, financial reporting and compliance under the guidance of senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing statutory audit assignments, performing substantive procedures and examining ledgers, schedules and books of accounts.
• Verify assets, liabilities, income and expenses and prepare audit working papers.
• Review financial statements for compliance with applicable accounting standards, disclosures and supporting schedules.
• Conduct walkthroughs, test internal controls and support internal financial control (IFC) audit procedures.
• Coordinate with client finance teams to obtain pending schedules and documentation while maintaining professional communication.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with strong motivation and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to develop technical expertise in Ind AS, Standards on Auditing, Companies Act and the firm’s audit methodology.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
• Familiarity with Standards on Auditing (SAs).
• Understanding of the Companies Act.
