French Teacher

About the role

South City International School is looking for a passionate French Teacher to join its academic team. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging French lessons for secondary students, helping them achieve fluency and confidence in the language.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop effective French teaching strategies for the secondary section in line with the prescribed curriculum.
• Deliver engaging, level‑appropriate lessons for grades 6‑12, focusing on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Create and use innovative teaching materials and instructional aids.
• Conduct regular assessments, tests and examinations to monitor student progress.
• Provide additional support to students who need extra guidance.
• Ensure accurate pronunciation and proper usage of French among students.
• Organise interactive classroom sessions and co‑curricular language activities.
• Maintain accurate academic records, lesson plans and reports.
• Communicate student performance to parents and attend parent‑teacher meetings.
• Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and undertake assigned administrative duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in French language, French literature or a related field (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in French language, French literature or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching French to classes 6‑12, preferably in an ICSE/ISC school.
• Strong command of French pronunciation and usage.
