Freight Forwarder – Ocean Transportation Intermediary

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our logistics team as an Ocean Transportation Intermediary (OTI). The role operates on a night shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and involves coordinating ocean freight shipments for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Book cargo space, prepare shipping instructions, and manage all documentation for ocean freight shipments.
• Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, port operators, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
• Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Communicate shipment status, delays, and changes to clients regularly.
• Stay informed about industry regulations, shipping contracts, rates, and market trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in OTI or similar freight forwarding roles.
• In‑depth knowledge of shipping contracts, rates, port operations, and customs procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with freight forwarding software and related industry tools.
