Founding Mobile Engineer (Remote, India)

About the role

Xuman.AI is looking for a Founding Mobile Engineer to lead the mobile vertical from day one. You will own the iOS and Android app that powers instant booking for human‑led services, shaping the user experience from discovery through payment, session, and review.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Xuman.AI mobile app on both iOS and Android, including store releases and performance monitoring.
• Design and implement the end‑to‑end booking flow, real‑time chat, calls, and live video sessions.
• Maintain high‑quality UI, handle loading, empty, error, and offline states as first‑class screens.
• Collaborate with backend teams to extend APIs when needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional experience building mobile apps in startup or corporate environments (internships count).
• Daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development.
• Immediate availability for remote work in India.

Required skills

• React Native with Expo and TypeScript.
• Strong REST API integration, typed clients, and state management (Zustand, Redux, or Context).
• Advanced navigation patterns, virtualized lists, image optimization, and lazy loading.
• Experience with real‑time technologies (Socket.IO or WebSocket) is a plus.
• Familiarity with in‑app payments (Stripe SDK, Apple Pay, Google Pay), push notifications (APNs, FCM), live video (LiveKit or WebRTC), EAS builds, and crash monitoring (Sentry).
• Basic knowledge of Node/NestJS for occasional API extensions.
