Formulation Scientist – R&D (3‑7 yrs experience)

About the role

Our Formulation R&D team at Azurity in Hyderabad provides scientific expertise to develop unique product formulations that meet target product profiles. The selected candidate will also support Azurity’s digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform formulation development activities on differentiated formulations and innovative technologies, ensuring timelines and good laboratory practices.
• Conduct lab trials, stability studies, and compile experimental data in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
• Support scientific literature searches and compile data to aid decision‑making for product development.
• Prepare and review protocols, validation plans, SOPs, technology transfer documents and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and EHS standards.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Analytical Development, QA, Regulatory Affairs) to secure timely document approvals and milestone delivery.

Required profile

• Pharm or Ph.D. in Pharmacy with minimum 3 years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical development and scale‑up of solid oral dosage forms or oral suspensions.
• Experience with immediate‑release or modified‑release formulations, preferably in the US market and with 505(b)(2) branded products.
• Familiarity working with CROs/CDMOs and handling regulatory licenses for R&D, clinical and import activities.
