Foreign Trade Professional – EXIM Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Foreign Trade / EXIM professional to lead our international trade operations in Bangalore. The role will oversee import and export activities, ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, and drive cost‑effective logistics across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust foreign‑trade strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with customs laws, FTP provisions, DGFT regulations, export‑control norms, sanctions and anti‑corruption statutes.
• Oversee end‑to‑end import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, freight movement and last‑mile coordination.
• Manage interactions with Customs, DGFT, SEZ/STPI and other regulatory authorities.
• Supervise international transportation, customs house agent coordination, warehousing and distribution, while optimizing freight costs and demurrage exposure.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters and global partners, negotiating commercial terms and service levels.
• Analyze trade data, duty outflows and logistics costs to identify optimization opportunities and drive automation.
• Lead and develop the EXIM team, fostering capability building and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of hands‑on experience in managing end‑to‑end international trade operations.
• Strong functional expertise in import/export compliance, customs regulations and logistics management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
