About the role

Metropolitan Community College’s Continuing Education Division is seeking a motivated Foreign Language Instructor to teach beginner‑level adult learners. The role focuses on creating an engaging, supportive environment where students develop foundational speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver introductory language lessons using interactive, student‑centered methods.
• Prepare and adapt lesson plans that align with curriculum goals.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate classroom records.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages cultural understanding.
• Utilize instructional technology and learning management systems for course delivery.

Required profile

• Demonstrated oral and written proficiency in the target language.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of basic language teaching methods for beginners.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to completing background checks and meeting eligibility requirements.
