Foreign Accountant

About the role

The Foreign Accountant will manage the company’s financial operations across Canada, the United States and India. This role ensures accurate record‑keeping, regulatory compliance and effective cash‑flow management while supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor cash flow and align it with invoice schedules to ensure liquidity.
• Develop budgets and forecasts to support financial stability and long‑term growth.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations in Canada, the USA and India, covering income tax, sales tax and import/export duties.
• Collaborate with tax professionals in each jurisdiction to optimise tax planning and minimise liabilities.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements for management and stakeholders.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with company policies and labour regulations.
• Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud or errors.
• Conduct periodic financial audits to verify compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Maintain daily MIS reports for operational tracking and reporting.
• Respond promptly to customer queries via email and other communication channels.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Canada, the USA and India.
• Proven experience in multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑regional teams and external tax advisors.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and cost efficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality service to clients and internal stakeholders.
