Food & Beverage Ambassador

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Ambassador to join the pre‑opening team at Fairmont Udaipur Palace. In this front‑of‑house position you will be the first point of contact for guests in our restaurants, lounges and banquet areas, delivering the high standards of service expected of a luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly, creating a positive first impression.
• Present menus, explain items, daily specials and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth service flow.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas and service stations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Promote hotel restaurants, special promotions and upsell items.
• Handle guest billing accurately using POS systems.
• Assist with table set‑up and clearing before and after service, especially during busy periods.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Service (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, resort or similar hospitality environment; fresh graduates from recognized institutes may be considered.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Well‑groomed appearance and professional etiquette.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.
