Fleet Manager – Own Fleet Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our own commercial truck fleet in Raipur. The role focuses on maximizing vehicle utilization, meeting daily movement targets, and minimizing operational delays and costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the company’s owned truck fleet.
• Ensure maximum vehicle availability, utilization and overall fleet productivity.
• Monitor loading, unloading, transit times and vehicle turnaround.
• Track daily targets versus actual vehicle movement and trips.
• Coordinate with drivers, plant teams, operations staff and maintenance personnel.
• Control diesel consumption, driver performance and operational expenses.
• Reduce vehicle detention, idle time, breakdown‑related delays and route deviations.
• Deploy and resume vehicles promptly as needed.
• Monitor GPS/live vehicle status and produce accurate operational reports.
• Analyze fleet performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in fleet operations, transportation or logistics.
• Preferably experience managing a large owned fleet of trucks.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams and external drivers.
• Strong focus on cost control, vehicle availability and operational efficiency.
