First-Year Faculty Positions – Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

About the role

Indore Institute of Science and Technology (IIST) is expanding its First‑Year Engineering Department and seeks passionate academicians to build a strong foundational base for incoming B.Tech students in Applied Sciences. Positions are open at Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Academic Coordinator levels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and drive interdisciplinary research for the first‑year department.
• Deliver core lectures and practical lab sessions in Engineering Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• Mentor junior faculty and first‑year students, ensuring smooth curriculum transition.
• Oversee day‑to‑day academic administration, schedule timetables, manage course files and coordinate parent‑teacher communications.
• Ensure compliance with NBA and IQAC accreditation frameworks.

Required profile

• Professor: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with ≥10 years teaching/research experience and a distinguished publication record.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with ≥8 years experience and strong research output.
• Assistant Professor: M.Sc. in the relevant subject; Ph.D. or NET/SET qualification highly preferred.
• Academic Coordinator: 3‑5 years academic administrative experience with strong organizational skills.
