Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst – Gurugram

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail‑oriented FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly expense reports, identify key trends, and provide variance commentary.
• Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecast, highlighting key drivers.
• Analyze current and historical financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and operational KPIs.
• Assist in developing monthly and quarterly finance reports, management presentations, and Excel‑based financial models.
• Build and maintain high‑quality financial analyses using advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports and scenario analyses as required by stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address financial queries and support decision‑making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, management reporting, or related finance functions.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Experience working with large datasets and financial models.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, IF formulas, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, and other analytical functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with ERP/EPM tools such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, TM1, Anaplan, or OneStream.
• Working knowledge of Macros/VBA scripting and Power BI.
• Exposure to automation initiatives and process improvement projects.
