Financial Controller (Remote, India)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support senior US finance stakeholders of a publicly traded technology company. The role is remote, based in India, and requires close collaboration during US business hours to ensure accurate financial close, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve journal entries, vendor invoices, and vendor set‑up; manage bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead NetSuite close activities, including FX revaluation, period close, and account maintenance.
• Oversee payroll liabilities, intercompany reconciliations, and equity‑grant accounting.
• Account for warrants, public investments, and other fair‑value items.
• Provide US GAAP technical accounting support and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Execute multi‑entity consolidation, elimination entries, and acquisition integrations.
• Handle wind‑ups, dispositions, and de‑consolidation accounting.
• Prepare cash‑flow proofs, consolidated financial statements, schedules, and notes.
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end public‑company reporting and external audit requirements.
• Maintain SOX controls, documentation, and remediation as needed.
• Coordinate audit and PBC requests and improve reporting processes.

Required profile

• CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong hands‑on US GAAP experience.
• Prior experience supporting accounting, close, or financial reporting for a US publicly traded company.
• Hands‑on NetSuite expertise.
• Extensive multi‑entity consolidation and balance‑sheet reconciliation experience.
• Excellent financial reporting and Excel capabilities.
• Ability to work independently with US finance stakeholders and provide 6 hours overlap with US Eastern Time.
